Robert – Bass Guitar & Vocals

During the early 70´s Robert played with many well know artists and bands such as The Shirelles. In addition he was involved with radio and television throughout Europe with his own band and as a backing musician. 

Music runs in his family his father has the The George Thorby Big Band in the UK and now in his 80s he is still out there conducting and is one of the oldest conductors in the country. His son is singer for a popular covers band in the UK called The Somethings, they play all over the country at some very big venues. 

He started Costa Rock in 2006 and over the years there have been many changes, but he  loves the current set-up and believes this will be the best yet. 

 

Pete “The Voice” Lead Singer

Pete Carter first discovered he could sing when he won a bottle of scotch in a karaoke competition about 20 years ago. Since then he has made up for his late start by singing as much as he could, be it on the West End stage or the back room at Ramsgate Working Mens club. 

A member of well known, South East England based, 7 piece band “Sneaking Sally” led to him performing with high profile acts such as Jools Holland, Squeeze, Level 42 and Dr Feelgood at venues such as the Fairfield Halls, Hammersmith Odeon, Grosvenor House Hotel and The Winter Gardens Margate. 

His broad vocal range and lively personality makes Pete the perfect front man for what is, quite simply, THE best Rock band in Andalucia. For more on Pete click here 

 

Stephen – Lead Guitarist

Stephen loves all types of music and with his new phone he received at Christmas he now listens to a wide variety all day long. 

He loves rock most of all and his fingers practically set fire to the strings as he wizzies through some complex riffs. 

He loves the band and thinks that it will go far.

Pete – Keyboards & Vocals

Pete loves the keyboards – in fact he loves all technology and is the IT wizard behind the group. He brings a depth to the music which is often lacking in groups where they only have guitars. 

Whilst working as a professional muso, he ended up spending time in 30 countries, working in Europe, Scandinavia, the Arab countries, and Africa. One country got left out, – he didn’t visit Spain until 97, but moved here in 2000. 

The first time he played “live” on the radio confused his mum, because whilst he could be heard on the radio, he was floating in the pool in Dubai – he had recorded the session a few weeks earlier, in the bathroom of his apartment, where the acoustics were best. 

With his techie approach, we will be seeing new and exciting music this year. 

 

Hodge – Drummer

Hodge has an impressive discography and has played on over 50 World wide releases. He cut his teeth in Neo Rockabilly legends The Sharks who toured Europe & Scandinavia extensively with an impressive live show. 

The late 90’s were spent with Brit popsters Johnny Panic & the Bible of dreams. Hodge has been lucky enough to work with some top class musicians and producers gaining valuable experience along the way. Hodge believes that his hard hitting, dynamic style can bring a new dimension to an already cultured lineup.
